Welcome to the Rinella Learning Center's online workshop on Miami University basics. We've put together this site to help you better understand and plan for Miami University's academic policies and procedures. During your time at Miami, you may have heard expressions like "academic probation," "good standing," and "DARs" thrown around without explanation. After going through the lessons on this website, you will have a better grasp of what some of those phrases mean at Miami, and why they are important for you to know as you work to complete your degree here. Our goal is to make these policies, procedures, and practices as clear as possible for you - we hope that this clarity will allow you to follow these policies and enjoy great success as a Miami University student!
